A team of students in the fields of occupational therapy (2), pharmacy (1), nursing (1), and public health (1) have worked to develop a podcast called WVoice: A Health Sciences Podcast. Our focus is sharing the voices of people in WV about their healthcare experiences. People who experience homelessness, substance use disorder, immigration, smoking cessation, foster parenting, lack of access to transportation, and food insecurity, within the Amish community, within the LGBTQIA2S+ community, within the Appalachia community, and parents of adults with disabilities experience marginalization and stigma in healthcare that negatively impacts quality of life. Effective communication within the healthcare team has improved patient's quality of life. Podcasts have been shown to enhance student inquiry and may be an effective method to enhance health science student knowledge. The student research team aims (1) to assess the feasibility of a podcast as a teaching tool for health science students, (2) to explore the impact of knowledge on marginalization, stigma, and the social determinants of health, and (3) describe the healthcare experiences of marginalized groups in West Virginia. The team has conducted 11/12 interviews in teams of two students to one participant. Eleven episodes are posted on various platforms including Spotify, Firefox, iHeartRadio, Echo, and Amazon Music. The team plans to collect data through a student survey to assess changes in student knowledge and thematic analysis of participant interviews. The hope is to facilitate interdisciplinary student teamwork to solve real-world issues, and to work with individuals to apply relationships building and understanding.

Discussion of how the Summit theme will be addressed, lightening talk provides knowledge to learners, and fulfills priority-
This opportunity alone has allowed the team of students to collaborate over two years. This was not an IPE requirement, and the students joined based on interest/value and participated in this project outside of their busy class schedule. Students have learned about role/responsibility, and effective collaboration. This talk will provide listeners with the opportunity to learn about IPE teamwork and how to access the podcast to learn more about marginalization in healthcare. The podcast is designed to show that this work is possible as a team and that it is important for all disciplines to be involved in improving patient care and learning about how marginalization negatively impacts care and what we might do as future practitioners.
