Barbara F. Brandt Leadership Award

The National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education is pleased to announce that Dr. Shelley Cohen Konrad, PhD, LCSW, FNAP has been selected as the inaugural recipient of the 2024 Barbara F. The Barbara F. Brandt Leadership Award honors an individual or organization that has demonstrated outcomes that have advanced the Nexus of interprofessional practice and education, with a commitment to scholarship and resilience in bringing people together with a focus on improving outcomes that matter.

This award honors the transformative leadership and scholarly contributions of Barbara F. Brandt, EdM, PhD, FNAP, Founding Director and Senior Advisor to the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education. Dr. Brandt’s work to improve patient care and learning through interprofessional collaboration in the community has spanned nearly forty years. Her extraordinary contributions, from the creation of the Nexus concept to her thought-provoking scholarship, and her dedication to improving outcomes that matter for patients and learners form the guiding principles of this award.
