Andrei received his bachelor's degree in Architecture and Urban Planning and master's degree in Computer Engineering from the Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC), Brazil. He is a PhD candidate in Computer Science at Ontario Tech University, Canada, developing research on no-code serious games authoring and a gamified learning management system. His research interests include virtual simulation, serious games, experiential learning, learning management systems, and virtual reality.

Key to the delivery of timely, accurate and high quality laboratory services is the collaboration between patients, medical laboratory professionals (MLPs), and other healthcare professionals during the pre- and post-analytical phases of the laboratory process. While uni-professional educational programs may include interprofessional competencies in the curriculum, the learning experiences often do not support interprofessional education (IPE).
