What Do Interprofessional Learners Need to Know About Digital Health?

Attendees will apply their understanding of the digital health landscape and gaps in digital health education to identify opportunities for all health profession learners to be better prepared for digital healthcare. Through interactive discussion, attendees will discuss how digital health currently impacts collaborative practice, brainstorm what learners need to know in preparation for collaborative practice in the digital health era, and identify challenges and resources required to advance digital health education for interprofessional learners. Attendees will be invited to continue to engage in work in the area to develop digital health competencies for interprofessional learners.

Objectives:
1. Utilizing the IPEC competency framework, participants will
- Brainstorm how digital health currently impacts interprofessional teamwork and collaborative practice in various health care settings
- Identify what today’s interprofessional learners need to know about collaborative practice in the digital health era.
- Identify challenges and resources needed to advance digital health education for all interprofessional learners.
2. Participants will discuss opportunities for continued engagement on this topic

Accreditation Details

The National Center OICPD (JA#: 4008105) is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to provide continuing education to Athletic Trainers (ATs).

Nurse Practitioners: The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program (AANPCP) accepts credit from organizations accredited by the ACCME and ANCC.

Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians: This activity is approved for contact hours.

Athletic Trainers: This program is eligible for Category A hours/CEUs. ATs should claim only those hours actually spent in the educational program.
