Interprofessional Practice and Education Partners Forum

Join us for the Interprofessional Practice and Education Partners Forum to learn more about US organizations working to advance interprofessional practice and education. During the one-hour session, there will be three 20-minute rotations where attendees will have the opportunity to visit three different participating organizations for a briefing to learn more about their mission, priorities and new initiatives. Take this opportunity to hear the latest developments from organizations committed to advancing interprofessional priorities in learning and practice.

National Collaborative for Improving the Clinical Learning Environment

The National Collaborative for Improving the Clinical Learning Environment (NCICLE) provides a forum for organizations committed to improving the educational experience and patient care outcomes within clinical learning environments. NCICLE seeks to simultaneously improve the quality of learning and patient care within CLEs through shared learning and collaborative practice among its member organizations.

Association of Schools Advancing Health Professions

The Association of Schools Advancing Health Professions (ASAHP) is a national professional organization of over 120 universities and employers focused on critical issues affecting health professions education. Our mission is to advance health professions education and discovery through interprofessional collaboration, leadership, excellence, and innovation. ASAHP’s vision is to be the leader in advancing health professions education and discovery through interprofessional collaboration. ASAHP also sponsors and serves as host organization for the Journal of Allied Health.

Global Forum on Innovation in Health Professional Education

The Global Forum on Innovation in Health Professional Education (IHPE Forum) is an ongoing, convening activity of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine that brings together diverse stakeholders to network, discuss and illuminate issues for the benefit and promotion of health professional education. Currently, there are 35 member-sponsors of the Forum who are academic experts and health professionals representing 17 different disciplines from multiple developed and developing countries.

American Interprofessional Health Collaborative

The American Interprofessional Health Collaborative (AIHC) is the professional community of the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education.

AIHC consists of individuals who advance interprofessional education and collaborative practice to improve health outcomes and health equity, including students, practitioners, health professionals, educators, researchers, administrators, and community members.

AIHC inspires colleagues and creates opportunities to come together, learn and grow. AIHC members work locally, nationally, and internationally to influence policy, develop and share best practice and resources, conduct research, mentor and support colleagues, and remove barriers to effective action.

Interprofessional Education Collaborative
In 2009, six national education associations of schools of the health professions formed a collaborative to promote and encourage constituent efforts that would advance substantive interprofessional learning experiences to help prepare future health professionals for enhanced team-based care of patients and improved population health outcomes. IPEC continues to engage multiple health professions in its efforts to guide curriculum development across health professions schools. IPEC now represents 21 national health professions associations. IPEC’s mission is to ensure that new and current health professionals are proficient in the competencies essential for patient-centered, community- and population-oriented, interprofessional, collaborative practice.
