Traci Doherty, MSN, MPH, FNP-C (she/her) is an instructor with the Ruth Sleeper Nursing Center Nurse-Led Mobile Service Program at MGH Institute of Health Professions. She leads prelicensure and advanced practice nursing students to engage directly with communities at client’s residence and a variety of community-based sites. Under her supervision, the students provide free health screenings, education, and referrals with the goal of supporting clients in health promotion. The students provide health education to individuals and communities with a focus on the social determinants of health, and the effects of climate change.

This Lightening Talk will describe a federally funded, nurse-led mobile health program that addresses the health consequences of climate change and the social determinants of health (SDOH) disproportionately impacting low socioeconomic populations and communities of color.
