Dr. Susan Wenker is the Director of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at UW Madison and an Associate Professor (CHS) in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. She earned her BS at UW-La Crosse and her master’s and PhD degrees at UW-Madison through the School of Education. In addition to administrative responsibilities, she teaches in the University of Wisconsin-Madison DPT program, is a trainer for the Credentialed Clinical Instructor Course, is involved in the Kern National Network for Flourishing for interprofessional health students, and serves on the ACAPT IPE taskforce along with multiple campus committees for teaching, leadership, and interprofessional programming.

The Healthy Aging Initiative was born through the initial funding through the CDC-funded Building Our Largest Dementia (BOLD) Infrastructure for Alzheimer’s Disease Project in collaboration with the Wisconsin Department of Health.
