Sharon Holt is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Health Science Occupational Therapy Program at Eastern Michigan University. Her clinical background is in acute and post acute care specializing in adults and older adults with neurological challenges. Her teaching focuses on creating opportunities for students to become capable, creative and caring occupation-focused practitioners who will lead the profession into the future. She has participated in, created and disseminated work in interprofessional education since 2017.

Presenting at the Nexus Summit:

Through a unique collaboration between Eastern Michigan University, University College Cork, and the University of Limerick, 11 faculty and 115 nursing, occupational therapy, and social work students conducted an interprofessional case study. This international learning experience aimed to enhance students' global healthcare awareness by engaging with peers to learn more about how different healthcare systems and cultural values influence care.
