Dr. Sean Convoy is a co-lead for the HRSA funded Stress First Aid Program at Duke University. Upon military retirement in 2013, Dr Convoy now spends his time pursing academic, clinical practice, public speaking, and writing interests. He is presently an Associate Professor at Duke University leading its PMHNP program. He is considered an expert in advanced practice psychiatric - mental health nursing, cognitive therapy, mental illness prevention and caregiver stress.
Presenting at the Nexus Summit:
Participants will learn the basics of the Stress First Aid (SFA) for Healthcare Workers and its application among the current and future healthcare workforce. Specifically, grantees from the Health Resources and Services Administration initiatives at Duke University, North Carolina Central University, and the University of Virginia will describe their initiatives focused on its delivery for health professions students and clinicians.
Participants will learn about the program and have an opportunity to hear about outcome measures and potential impact at the program and system level.…
