Dr. Parad attended the University of Pennsylvania and entered the healthcare field as a registered nurse. She went on to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM) and graduated summa cum laude. Through the completion of Harvard School of Dental Medicine’s general practice residency program, she gained exposure to treating medically compromised patients at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Parad was selected as a 2023 Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS) 10 Under Ten Dentist, as the national recipient of the 2023 ADEA/Gillette Hayden Memorial Foundation/AAWD Woman Dentist Tuition Scholarship, and as a 2024 Professional Member of the National Academies of Practice
Dr. Parad is passionate about interprofessional education and the integration of oral and systemic health care. As a dentist at Franciscan Children’s Hospital, she works alongside residents training at local dental schools and treats patients with special healthcare needs who often require care under general anesthesia. She focuses on improving the health of the community through continuous interdisciplinary learning in an academic-based hospital and applies her healthcare background to her full-time position as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Medically Complex Patient Management in the Department of Comprehensive Care at TUSDM.
In addition to teaching and practicing as a dentist, she serves on several local, state, and national organizations. As a previous Guest Board Member on the MDS, she collaborated with her colleagues and the Board of Trustees to address changes to oral health policies. Furthermore, she serves on the Board of Directors for the American Association of Women Dentists, as the Secretary for the American Dental Education Association Special Interest Group – Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Care, and as the Assistant Editor for the Boston District Dental Society.
