Lt Michael Dennis is a current second-year medical student at Campbell University School or Osteopathic Medicine (CUSOM). He completed his undergraduate degree in Sociology and minored in Biological Sciences and Military Studies at North Carolina State University. Upon graduation Michael commissioned in the NC Army National Guard (NCARNG) where he served as a Medical Service Corp officer and now in the Medical Corp as a physician in training. During his continued service in the NCARNG he attained his Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences at CUSOM. Michael works part-time with Johnston County Emergency Services and volunteers at Campbell's Community Clinic.

In conjunction with the Office of Interprofessional Education, the Campbell Healer Collaborative(CHC) developed the EmpowerU Mentoring Program. The goal of the program is to empower undergraduate students with the knowledge of each healthcare specialty at Campbell University so that they may make informed decisions on future career paths of interest and form a competitive application while working with student mentors from within the healthcare programs.
