Dr. Lorene Cobb is an Assistant Professor in the DPT Program at Seton Hall University in Nutley, New Jersey and a practicing physical therapist. Lorene is an ABPTS Pediatric Clinical Specialist whose practice area includes complex neuromuscular conditions. Lorene’s teaching responsibilities encompass the clinical neurological series and professional development. She is a Module and Core Facilitator for the SHU Center for Interprofessional Education. Research interests include the use VR and Gaming to enhance the psychosocial skills of professional healthcare students, developing DPT student’s affective skills necessary for family centered care, and incorporation of the movement system for analysis and diagnosis.

Gaming is an innovative, immersive, technological strategy that can advance interprofessional experiential health science education globally. The Cross-Disciplinary Academy for Interprofessional Education and Research in the Health Sciences (AIER), established in 2021, enabled faculty at Seton Hall University (SHU) to develop three IPE research projects in the area of "interprofessional virtual reality gaming".
