Kim Hoggatt Krumwiede, PhD is Dean for the School of Health Professions at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Prior to this, she was the Director of Interprofessional Practice and Education (IPE) for the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center where her role included coordinating institutional efforts in IPE across the UT Southwestern and with outside institutions. She has published on IPE and presented at state, national and international conferences. She is a fellow and has an advisory role on the Texas IPE Consortium, and is one of five founding members of this statewide initiative.

As the Texas IPE Consortium approaches its tenth anniversary, it stands as a model for developing and sustaining leadership in interprofessional practice and education across Texas. The consortium provides: annual meetings focused on best practices in IPE, virtual conversations in IPE; in-person and virtual trainings for TeamSTEPPS, IPE Facilitation and Rapid Teaming; and has established a fellows program to mentor and support leaders in IPE.
