Dr. Kathryn Neill is the Associate Provost for Academics and Director of Interprofessional Administrative and Curricular Affairs for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). Her expertise is in pulmonary/critical care medicine, interprofessional education, curriculum implementation, and accreditation. Dr. Neill chairs a team of more than 40 faculty to deliver a campus-wide interprofessional graduation requirement for 3000 students in 72 degree programs. The program is recognized as a Best Practice Exemplar by The Institute for Patients and Families and has received an award of Merit for Institutional Excellence and Innovation in IPE from the Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions (ASAHP).

Patients with Intellectual Disabilities (ID) have specific healthcare challenges and needs. Students infrequently receive training/have opportunity to interact with patients with ID in the absence of a specialty training site. Education regarding best practices managing health and disease of older adults is needed. Escape rooms are an effective Sim-IPE strategy. We describe a workshop-based peer-learning experience using a workbook where interprofessional geriatric-focused scholars are preceptored to create and deliver an educational escape room focused on the 4Ms of Age Friendly Healthcare (AFHC), ie what Matters, Medication, Mentation, Mobility.
