Josh is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Oklahoma Health Science's Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing. With a rich background in gastroenterology, urgent care/emergency, corrections, and substance abuse treatment, Josh recently completed his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with a focus on nurse education from Arkansas State University. He is recognized for his contributions to nursing education and clinical practice, a member of various professional organizations, and an advocate for active learning.

The Unity@Keys clinic was conceptualized to meet the nursing, rehabilitation, and social needs of people with an ongoing, chronic condition such as aphasia. To accomplish this, the founding team needed to reimagine the structure of the preexisting student-run clinics. Allied health disciplines require longer times for holistic evaluation and intervention, as well as extended time/frequency of visits for follow-up.
