Gregory M. Gauthier, MD, MS is an Associate Professor (CHS) in the Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Wisconsin - Madison School of Medicine & Public Health. Dr. Gauthier provides care for persons living with HIV as well as general infectious diseases care in the outpatient and inpatient settings at UW Hospitals & Clinics and the William S. Middleton Veterans Administration Hospital in Madison, WI. Dr. Gauthier is also the Medical Education Director for the Midwest AIDS Training and Education Center (MATEC) of Wisconsin. Dr. Gauthier has > 20 years of experience in infectious diseases.

While many professional accreditation programs require students to learn from, with, and about other professions, it is not commonplace for students to have the educational opportunity to be a part of an interprofessional team working on collaboration and teamwork throughout an entire semester.
