Gloria Giarratano is a Professor and the Tenet System/Jo Ellen Smith BSN, Endowed Chair of Research at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, School of Nursing, in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Giarratano is an expert educator, researcher, and community leader working to improve health outcomes for pregnant women. She has conducted numerous studies related to perinatal mental health and held leadership positions on state and regional women’s health boards and AWHONN. Dr. Giarratano received a BSN from the University of Southern Mississippi, MSN from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and PhD from Georgia State.
