He received a Master’s of Business Administration from Fairmont State University and a Doctorate of Physician Assistant Studies at University of Pittsburgh. Clinical duties include cardiothoracic surgery and Emergency Medicine at West Virginia University. Community service includes; President of the WV Association of Physician Assistants, WVU Faculty Senate, WVU Medical Executive Committee, PAEA Governance and Ethics Board and site visitor for ARC-PA. Scholarly activities include investigator on several HRSA grants that improve access to care in rural communities. Dr. Olgers is dedicated to the health and prosperity of West Virginia.

Oral health has a direct correlation to overall wellbeing. Oral health is linked to diabetic, heart, brain, and pregnancy health.
