Emma Zorda, M.S. is a fourth-year medical student at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. She received a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Neurobiology with minors in Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Connecticut. She went on to receive a Master of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Behavioral Neuroscience at the University of Connecticut. Emma is dedicated to promoting mental health and wellbeing. As an aspiring psychiatrist, she plans to use a holistic approach in her treatments, relying on her experiences in multiple fields of medicine to better outcomes for her future patients.

Interprofessional education (IPE) in healthcare training strives to create a collaborative healthcare workforce for the betterment of patient care. One of the aims of IPE experiences is to challenge healthcare hierarchies, with the focus being on fluid leadership amongst healthcare team members.
