Debbie Zagray is an Associate Clinical Professor and Director of Clinical Education for the hybrid DPT program at Northern Arizona University. Prior academic positions include Director of Clinical Education; Clinical Assessment & Training Coordinator; faculty member and adjunct instructor. She has been a licensed PT since 1990 and has practiced in a variety of settings. Dr. Zagray has been actively involved with the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy as an item writer for the National Physical Therapy Examination since 2017. She has many areas of teaching and research interests, focused on clinical education, simulation, hybrid education, and social determinants of health.

The Community Health Mentor Program in Arizona is a collaboration between the three public universities: Northern Arizona University, University of Arizona, and Arizona State University. In this program students from PT, OT, PA and MD programs work together to learn from the lived health experiences of members of the community who have either chronic medical conditions and/or disabilities.
