Dr. Cynthia Andrews is a University Teaching Fellow in the Department of Dental Clinical Sciences and the Coordinator of Interprofessional Education in the Faculty of Dentistry at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She is a member of the Dalhousie IPE/Sim-IPE Academic and Research Steering Committee, is a Director at the Canadian Interprofessional Health Collaborative (CIHC) and chairs the CIHC Accreditation Standards Committee. Her research focuses on early professional socialization, psychological safety in facilitation of Sim-IPE, accreditation of IPE in Canada, integration of interprofessional education into curriculum design and delivery, and student experiences in interprofessional education.

Purpose: Interprofessional collaborative practice (IPCP), occurs when health professions work collaboratively with the goal of improved quality of care and services.
