Austeja Rubeski is a fourth-year medical student at University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University. Throughout medical school, she has been interested in interprofessional learning and education, and enjoys mentoring students who hope to pursue a career in healthcare. She is applying for residency in Emergency Medicine.
Presenting at the Nexus Summit:
Qualitative analysis of interprofessional simulations identified student-derived themes of Conflict, Feedback, Roles, Patient Care, Team Operations, Time-Outs, and Priorities. These alternative themes provide a more applicable and practical approach to understanding metacognitive processes underlying interprofessional team learning behaviors when compared to the Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) core sub-competency themes.
