Dr. William Booth is a biochemist/structural biologist and native of Raleigh, NC. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology and a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He earned his PhD in Biochemistry from the University of South Carolina (Columbia). Dr. Booth is a structural biologist whose research interests are focused on determining how proteins look while identifying how they function using a technique known as x-ray crystallography. He teaches introductory biochemistry and chemistry courses. He is also a certified medical laboratory scientist and served as a paratrooper in the US Army.
