Dr. Trina Walker is an assistant professor at Creighton University College of Nursing where she focuses on the use of pharmacogenomics in primary care specifically for management of mental health conditions. She has been successful with extramural and intramural funding to develop an interprofessional process for using pharmacogenomics in clinical practice, as well as for interprofessional educational webinars for practicing prescribers and pharmacists. Throughout this project her role as a Family Nurse Practitioner and her expertise in interprofessional practice were utilized to support the intended outcomes.
