Tanya Coltrain, MSN, RN, CPN is a Lecturer at the Indiana University School of Nursing- Indianapolis and serves as the Nursing Lead for Interprofessional Education. She works with the Interprofessional Practice and Education Center as a member of the Academic Steering Committee. She coordinates the required, longitudinal IPE curriculum for all Bachelor of Science in Nursing students as well as any additional opportunities for all students and faculty. She recently completed training to become a Team STEPPS Master Trainer.

Student-led clinics provide a unique opportunity for students to engage in interprofessional education. Under the guidance of health professionals, they collaborate with multiple disciplines to care for members of the community. Students practice advocating for their neighbors and learn roles. Students are also exposed to diverse perspectives as they practice communication and mutual respect.
