Dr. Manspeaker is an Associate Professor in the Athletic Training Program Duquesne University. An athletic trainer for 25 years, she serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Interprofessional Care, on the Editorial Board for the Athletic Training Education Journal and is a Fellow in the National Academies of Practice. Sarah volunteers with the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education and the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. Locally, she serves as the co-chair of the Duquesne University Interprofessional Education Committee and the medical coordinator for Special Olympics Pennsylvania Winter Games featuring an interprofessional healthcare team.

Background and Aims: Healthcare students’ preparation for engagement collaborative practice may be enhanced through the consideration of cultural humility and interprofessional socialization. Therefore, inclusion of these elements is gaining emphasis within IPE implementation.
