Sarah Friel MA CCC SLP – Massachusetts General Hospital, Institute of Health Professions, Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders Ms. Friel is an Assistant Professor in the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department at MGHIHP. She has extensive clinical, academic, and scholarly experience in pediatric developmental speech and language difficulties. Her current interest is exploring functional, play-based inter-professional support for autistic children and their caregivers.

This Lightening Talk will describe our institutionally funded innovative pilot program called Supporting and Empowering Neurodiverse Children Everyday (SENCE) that offered entry-level occupational therapy doctoral (EL-OTD) and masters’ level speech-language pathology (SLP) students a hands-on opportunity to observe, co-treat and learn from neurodiverse children and their caregivers.
