Dr. Melissa R. Bowman Foster is an Associate Professor who teaches in the undergraduate and graduate levels in the School of Health Sciences at Winston-Salem State University. She is the Program Coordinator for the Master of Healthcare Administration program. She has over 2 decades of experience in health care that encompasses the areas of radiology, medical assisting, phlebotomy, EKG, research, billing & coding, 3D image processing, infectious disease control, and clinical education. She is an advocate for the CARE Bill. She is internationally acknowledged for her research involving the repurposing of medications to treat COVID-19 and other respiratory infections.
