Dr. Iverson is the track lead for the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program at Creighton University. She maintains her clinical practice as a Hospitalist in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Iverson’s teaching interests include student assessment, interprofessional education, and simulation. She teaches in didactic and practicum courses in the graduate programs, as well in the graduate pharmacology course. She was the primary author on development of the Creighton Interprofessional Competency Evaluation (CICE) tool which is used to evaluate how interprofessional teams work together.
Presenting at the Nexus Summit:
An interprofessional escape room activity teaches teamwork through collaboration with other health professionals while allowing students to gain knowledge in a gamified environment. This presentation reviews the development and implementation of an escape room for nurse practitioner and paramedicine students.
