Jazzy’s hometown, located in Central Florida, is where she earned her bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of Central Florida. She is pursuing her doctorate in occupational therapy at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. Jazzy began advocating for the growth and awareness of the OT profession as a research assistant. She enjoys reading and soaking up the Florida sunshine during her leisure time.

Since the early 2000s, there has been an increasing concern about medical errors, patient safety, and the quality of healthcare delivery in the U.S. This highlights the need for health professionals to work effectively in teams (NEXUSIPE 2023).
