Ms. Braun is a Program Manager for the Interprofessional Program at the University of Michigan Medical School. She previously held positions in medical education involving re-accreditation and continuous quality improvement. She has also worked extensively in the clinical phase of undergraduate medical education. As part of this role, she partnered with the Professional Development Branches team during the pilot phase - the advanced clinical training of medical students. This involved working with faculty to develop innovative ways to educate the next generation of doctors and transition to the next phase of training.

Background:Health professions students need training in interprofessional collaboration and geriatrics principles to meet the needs of an aging population. Polypharmacy is a common geriatric syndrome, which increases pill burden, adverse drug reactions, drug-drug interactions, and medical costs.
