Cara is a fourth-year medical student at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Literature with minors in Chemistry and Creative Writing at Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, MD. As an aspiring surgeon and member of the US Air Force, Cara is passionate about team growth and efficiency that starts with personal improvement and empathy. When she is not studying, she enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and creative writing.

Interprofessional education (IPE) in healthcare training strives to create a collaborative healthcare workforce for the betterment of patient care. One of the aims of IPE experiences is to challenge healthcare hierarchies, with the focus being on fluid leadership amongst healthcare team members.
