Ann-Marie is an Associate Professor in Nursing (Mental Health) at the Department of Nursing & Midwifery, University of Limerick. Ann-Marie is a Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) and her areas of expertise are women’s mental health, nursing and nurse-led research. As part of her current role, Ann-Marie teaches and supervises undergraduate and postgraduate nursing and midwifery students. Ann-Marie is also active in research and her research interests are prison health with a special interest in women prisoners mental health as well as perinatal mental health, general mental health and nurse education.

Presenting at the Nexus Summit:

Through a unique collaboration between Eastern Michigan University, University College Cork, and the University of Limerick, 11 faculty and 115 nursing, occupational therapy, and social work students conducted an interprofessional case study. This international learning experience aimed to enhance students' global healthcare awareness by engaging with peers to learn more about how different healthcare systems and cultural values influence care.
