Andrea "Andi" Bender, EdD, AT, OPE-C has over 20 years of experience as a licensed Athletic Trainer and educator. She is currently the Director of Clinical Education for the MS in Athletic Training program at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. She has taught undergraduate and graduate level courses in orthopedic assessment, general medical conditions in athletes, emergency care, therapeutic interventions, pharmacology, functional kinesiology and leadership. She has published original research as well as presented at national conferences on various topics such as cryotherapy and exercise, gastrointestinal disorders in athletes, and interprofessional education. She is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association teaching value orientation and leadership skills in the NATA Leadership Academy.
