Dr. Delehanty is an Assistant Professor, the Assistant Chair of the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at Duquesne University, and the Director of the Language Disorders and Autism Clinic in the Duquesne University Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic. She has extensive clinical experience serving children and adolescents on the autism spectrum and those with communication disorders in school settings. Dr. Delehanty teaches coursework in interprofessional collaborative practice and serves as a member of the Duquesne University Interprofessional Education Committee (IPEC), which focuses on advancing IPE/IPP in the University through the development and implementation of innovative approaches to teaching and scholarship.

Background and Aims: Healthcare students’ preparation for engagement collaborative practice may be enhanced through the consideration of cultural humility and interprofessional socialization. Therefore, inclusion of these elements is gaining emphasis within IPE implementation.
